MEET JEFFREY SCHNEIDER

A native Long Islander, Jeffrey Schneider has been active in the musical community for more than four decades.

Mr. Schneider founded the North Shore Chamber Choir, now in its 19th season, and presently serves as its Artistic Director. In 2011 he was chosen as Artistic Director of the Long Island Gay Men's Chorus, and was named a co-conductor of the Brookhaven Choral Festival in 2013. He has served as the Music Director of the Shoreham-Wading River Community Chorus and the town of Brookhaven's Remembrance & Renewal commemoration of the heroes of September 11th.

His extensive history in the arts includes serving as Music Director at several churches in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties, during which time he designed and installed two pipe organs and published one of his church anthems.

Mr. Schneider is also an accomplished instrumentalist and has held the position of co-principal bassoonist of the Sound Symphony.
